Kim Jong Un's Biography
Kim Jong Un, North Korea's leader and president, the son of former Korean leader Kim Jong Il, took office in 2011, succeeding his father in 2011, at a young age and therefore the youngest head of state in the world.
Shortly after taking office, Kim became the supreme leader of the so-called Hermit Kingdom.
Known as a ruthless dictator, he made his first move after becoming president to get rid of several senior leaders because he considered them to be a threat to his person and his rule.
On the contrary, his father began to take steps that brought him closer to the people by photographing himself on tours with workers, soldiers, and various categories of the North Korean people.
All this has not made Kim Jong Un a successful president in the eyes of many, especially with his failure to deal well with all the problems he inherited from his father from a collapsed economy and widespread poverty among the general public, exacerbated by strained international relations with several countries around the world, particularly the United States of America.
Beginnings
Kim Jong Un was born on January 8, 1983, in Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. He grew up with his father Kim Jong Il and his mother, opera singer Ko Yong-ho, their youngest son, and his grandfather was the North Korean founder Kim Il Sung.
Kim Jong Un was educated at the International School of English in Komenlingen, near Bern, Switzerland, from 1993 to 1998, after which he moved to liebe Feld Steinhdzli School in Queens and remained there from 1998 to 2000.
He joined Kim Il Sung University to train officers in Pyongyang and remained there from 2002 to 2007.
Personal life
In 2009, Kim Jong Un married singer Ri Sol and had an only child, Jo Ai.
Rumors circulated that Kim was having an affair with four girls other than his wife.
Facts about Kim Jong Un
After news of Kim Jong Un's marriage was confirmed, Ri Sol Jo appeared in the media, contrary to his father's rules that women should be kept out of the spotlight.
Kim Jong Un clearly didn't succeed in his studies, but rather took care of some hobbies like basketball.
In 2013, he was ranked 46th on the Forbes list as one of the most powerful figures in the world.
Achievements
Since Kim Jong Un is known for his high temperament similar to that of his father Kim Jong Il, he received all his support at the expense of his older brother Kim Jong-Chul, who cared about him and allowed him to accompany him during his military tours.
Those actions played a role in reinforcing rumors in 2009 that Kim Jong Il was bringing his son Kim Jong Un to power after him, confirming his appointment to an important position on North Korea's highest body, the National Defense Commission (NDC).
Kim Jong Un was named Yongmyong-than Tongji in the sense of a wonderful companion and his use spread across the country, before becoming head of the State Security Authority.
Kim Jong Un's positions rolled over, and in 2010 he became a four-star general, then vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, followed by joining the Workers' Party Central Committee.
In 2011, Kim Jong Un became commander-in-chief of the Korean People's Army following the death of his father on December 17, 2011.

He was then appointed First Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, then took over his father's previous duties and became a member of the Political Bureau and first chairman of the Central Military Commission. He was subsequently elected chairman of the National Defense Committee of the 12th Supreme People's Assembly in 2012.
The first victim of Kim Jong Un's psychological vicissitudes was Chief of General Staff Ri Yong Ho, who supported him and prepared him to enter the political arena after the death of his father, and then called himself marshal with his hand on North Korea's military and political powers.
One of Kim Jong Un's most notable achievements is the unsubstantiated allegations that he conducted a nuclear test nuclear weapons, elected in 2014 to join the Supreme People's Assembly without any opposition
